Psychodynamic Counselling in Epsom & Banstead

Many people who consider counselling find themselves struggling with relationship difficulties, past trauma, or overwhelming emotions. You may be looking for a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

People may come to counselling for many reasons, including:

  • Feeling anxious, low, emotionally overwhelmed, or weighed down by difficult feelings

  • Experiencing repeated or painful patterns in relationships

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself, others, or your sense of direction

  • Carrying the impact of loss, change, or unresolved experiences

  • Wanting space to think, rather than being rushed towards solutions

You do not need to have everything worked out before starting. We begin wherever you are. I offer open-ended, in-depth counselling that allows time to explore emotions, past experiences, and relationship patterns that may feel difficult to face alone.

My approach is calm, attentive, and emotionally focused. I work at a pace that allows trust and understanding to develop, offering a confidential space where thoughts and feelings can be explored openly, including those that may feel confusing or hard to put into words.

Over time, counselling can help things begin to feel more manageable. You may find that anxiety softens, relationships feel less confusing, or long-standing patterns start to make more sense. Rather than feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you may begin to feel more grounded and more able to respond to your experiences with understanding and self-compassion. This is not about changing who you are, but about developing space and insight so that life can feel more settled and your choices more your own.

Counselling is not about quick fixes, but about meaningful, lasting change. If you are feeling stuck, lost, or unsure, our work together can help you make sense of your experiences and understand yourself more deeply.

Sessions are available in person in Epsom or Banstead, and online across the UK. I work with adults and young people on a short-term or open-ended basis. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). All work is confidential and conducted within professional and ethical guidelines. Fees are £65 per session, payable on the day.

If you are considering counselling, you may be wondering whether this way of working feels right for you. You are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation, which can help you decide whether this approach, and working together, feels like a good fit.
