About me
Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re not sure where to begin or what you want to say.
Many people come to therapy carrying experiences or feelings that have been difficult to understand or manage on their own.
I work in a way that is collaborative and at your pace, offering space to gently explore whatever has been troubling you. We can take time to think together about what’s been happening for you, without pressure to have clear answers straight away.
Counselling is my second career. Before retraining, I worked for many years as a teacher and SENCO. Through this work, I saw firsthand how emotional wellbeing shapes our lives and relationships, and how important it is to feel understood rather than rushed or judged.
I trained in psychodynamic counselling, which focuses on understanding the patterns that shape our thoughts, feelings, and relationships, often outside of conscious awareness. My approach is reflective, supportive, and open-ended, allowing time for deeper understanding to develop in a way that feels right for you.
If you’re considering counselling and would like an initial conversation to see whether working together feels right, you are very welcome to get in touch.
