About me

Counselling is my second career. For many years I worked in Sutton and Croydon as a class teacher and as a Senco. I became inspired to train as a counsellor through my Senco role. My experience has been that when emotional wellbeing is prioritised, for adults and young people, other successes follow.

My aim as a counsellor is to provide a nurturing, non-judgmental, reflective space where distressing thoughts, feelings and experiences can be explored and understood.

About my therapy practice

I am located in Banstead, Surrey.

I work with adults, but also specialise in working with young people, aged 16 to 25.

Training, qualifications, and experience

I have a diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (Distinction) from the University of Greenwich via Nescot College.

I am a registered member of the BACP, and their ethical code of practice underpins my work. I undertake supervision in accordance with BACP requirements and regularly participate in continuing professional development.

I have strong links with the local community and have worked with local agencies including Sutton Counselling and The Lucy Rayner Foundation. I lecture students, training to become counsellors, at a local college.
